Here is the first set of discussion questions for our Little Fish “Reader’s Club”. I invite you to first read pages 94 to 98 of Little Fish in Chinese or English, then choose one question from these below to answer and share in your own post either here or on our online forum.
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:
1) Do you remember your first trip home after starting college? What was it like? How were things different coming home after spending some time on your college campus?
2) What things do you miss about home when you are at school?
3) Describe your relationship with your mother. Is it close, or not so close? Why? How about your Father?
4) Do you parents or other family members often compare you to others? How do you feel about that?
5) If you could have any job in the future, what kind of job would it be and why?
6) When you graduate from school, what expectations will your parents have of you? What expectations do parents typically have of children in your culture?
